SCMP gains INMA’s global recognition again for best marketing solution

Panel of 50 executives from 20 countries cites impressive event for decision to recognise SCMP this year again

The SCMP Advertising & Marketing Solutions team has claimed first place in INMA’s “Best Marketing Solution for an Advertising Client” category, for its work in supporting the large-scale “Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund Jumpstarter” in November 2017.

The coveted INMA Global Media Awards 2018 were judged by a panel of 50 executives from 20 countries, and announced at the International News Media Association’s 88th World Congress in Washington, DC on June 4.

The INMA panel cited SCMP’s impressive results (over 600 applications from more than 10 start-up industries, in excess of 2,600 attendees and 154 successful business matches lined up within 3 hours) for its decision.

SCMP also garnered INMA’s “Best in Asia/Pacific, Global/National Brands” recognition, with the latest two accolades following INMA’s recognition last year of SCMP’s “This Week In Asia” for third place in the “Best New Print Product” category at the 2017 Global Media Awards.

This year, SCMP was among 40 first-placed winners across 20 categories in an international competition that attracted 830 entries from 220 media companies in 39 countries, including newspaper, magazine, digital, TV and radio.

SCMP’s Marketing Solutions team was set up in 2009, dedicated to assist clients to open new frontiers through the creative use of traditional and digital marketing platforms, leveraging SCMP’s integrated marketing expertise across custom publishing, advertising, digital platforms, events and more, with synergy from the company’s acclaimed editorial and marketing insights. One of the pioneering integrated campaigns created, the “Redefining Cool” marketing solutions campaign for client Miele, also won an INMA award which comprised a multimedia, multiplatform solution including live event, print, online, mobile, social media and an innovative “Freeze-a-matic” iPhone app.
