Foodie favourite, the Tong Chong Street Market returns

Crowds of food lovers congregated in Quarry Bay on November 5 for the first of this season’s Tong Chong Street Market 2017 organised by Swire Properties and Honestly Green. With a theme of ‘My Street Tastes Better Than Yours’, the markets will run from 11am to 5pm on 12 Sundays from November to February, serving up the best of street food and fresh produce. There are more than 80 food vendors – up over 60 per cent from last year – including new coffee offerings, delivering a rich blend of established favourites, homegrown seasonal produce, unconventional packaged food and signature dishes, all influenced by the organic, sustainable, zero waste ethos of the market. Look out for the new layout, colourful stalls and a real double decker bus hosting workshops. As with previous markets, the SCMP is liaising with the food vendors and Honestly Green, handling the pre-event coordination, booth production and set-up, and all the on-site management.
