H Queen’s “Taste of Art” blends fine art and fine dining
Hong Kong’s distinctive H Queen’s venue where “art meets lifestyle,” held its “Taste of Art” event on November 3, offering a unique epicurean experience juxtaposing world-class art with world-class dining.
The sensational sensory adventure featured a bounty of exquisite food and inspiring artwork, with its over 200 attendees enjoying explorations at the intersection of art, wine and food.
Activities ran the gamut, including guided tours of H Queen’s acclaimed galleries, such as renowned art houses David Zwirner, Whitestone Gallery, Pearl Lam Galleries, Tang Contemporary Art, SA+ Seoul Auction, Pace Gallery, Hauser & Wirth, and Galerie Ora-Ora.
Art appreciation seminars were conducted by Sophie Hu, art learning director of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, and Julia Ip, who used her investment banking background and art business lecturing experience at the University of Hong Kong to enlighten visitors about art investment. Other workshops included calligraphy and wine tasting.
World-class restaurants handled the gastronomical segment of this journey of discovery, offering indulgent menus across diverse cuisines, including classic Cantonese, Japanese, seafood, and even dishes by Michelin-starred talent.
This was the first time SCMP has collaborated with H Queen’s on an event, and organisers and visitors alike judged it a huge success.
