Hong Kong Tourism Board infographics campaign honoured at Native Advertising Awards

SCMP’s creative arm for brands claims prestigious prize for its Hong Kong Tourism Board ‘Building Connections’ campaign at ceremony held in Berlin
Morning Studio – South China Morning Post’s creative arm for brands – was among the winners at this week’s annual Native Advertising Awards ceremony recognising the world’s best native advertising.
It received the bronze award in the best use of infographics category for its “Building Connections” campaign, curated in partnership with Hong Kong Tourism Board, focused on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and High Speed Rail/Express Rail Link, completed in late 2018.
These two new infrastructure projects will play an important role in helping to develop China’s Belt and Road Initiative – a global development strategy involving international infrastructure development and investments – and contribute to Hong Kong’s economy – particularly through tourism.
The objective of Morning Post’s content campaign was not only to raise awareness of the launch of these major projects, but also to increase, improve and positively affect travel to Hong Kong from around the world. Learn more.
The third annual Native Advertising Awards ceremony, which acknowledges the world’s best print and digital native advertising, was hosted by the Native Advertising Institute on Tuesday during the three-day Native Advertising DAYS 2019 conference in Berlin.
Native Advertising DAYS, which is the first global conference dedicated exclusively to the field of native advertising, attracts a number of prestigious speakers, brands and publishers.

Shortlisted companies were selected by a panel of judges from across the industry, based on their work in categories covering the most important aspects of native advertising, such as strategy, organization, formats and channels.
Companies made submissions from countries including Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Russia, Brazil, Croatia, the US, Belgium, Slovenia, Russia, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
