Malcolm Ong and Michala Sabnani share content consumption insights at 2-day Digital Marketing Asia 2018 conference in Singapore

Held from October 23-24, Digital Marketing Asia 2018 was a two-day conference organised by Marketing Magazine Singapore at the city’s Shangri-la hotel, where delegates explored future-proofing their businesses with the hottest digital strategies, including blockchain marketing, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and personalised marketing.

SCMP’s head of product, Malcolm Ong, and branded content director, Michala Sabnani, joined the conference’s stellar line-up of speakers from major companies introducing digital transformation in their organisations. They shared insights from SCMP’s own transformation, covering topics such as how customers are changing the ways they perceive content, how to provide the right marketing content at the right time, staying close to customer usage and behaviour changes, new digital advertising trends for attracting customers, and leveraging AI-powered recommendation mechanisms to natively create branded content.

They also unveiled the beta of a new version of SCMP.com, with new features and enhancements, in addition to introducing Morning Studio, the creative arm of South China Morning Post dedicated to the creation of branded content for clients.
