SCMP wins Silver at Marketing Excellence Awards 2018
Winning project ‘A Year of Wisdom’ recognised for Excellence in Print Marketing as Best Print Campaign
The SCMP is toasting its success after being honoured for its print marketing at a top awards ceremony.
Winners and finalists in the Marketing Excellence Awards 2018 celebrated their industry recognition at a grand ceremony and gala dinner at the InterContinental Hong Kong on November 9.
The expert panel of industry leaders and senior marketers selected SCMP’s “A Year of Wisdom” for the Excellence in Print Marketing category, awarding the SCMP Marketing Solutions team Silver for “the most effective and innovative use of the print media platform with impressive or influential images to achieve a specific marketing outcome, be it branding or a call-to-action”.
Created for client Hongkong Land, “A Year of Wisdom” was LANDMARK’s 2017 branding campaign. Building on the success of previous campaigns produced by the SCMP Marketing Solutions team, it featured popular cartoonist Harry Harrison’s musings on wisdom to deliver a fresh image for this leading luxury shopping destination in Central.
The campaign opened with a full SCMP newspaper wrapper and new in-mall decorations, and was sustained by appearances in the SCMP and on the LANDMARK website. From initial brainstorming to final implementation, SCMP Marketing Solutions was intimately involved at every stage.
The Marketing Excellence Awards is Hong Kong’s main annual event recognising excellence in the marketing communications services industry. This year’s event featured 32 categories across a broad range of disciplines.
