Mi Li and Korey Lee use SCMP as case study to show best practices for capturing new media opportunities
Two of the world’s most informed voices navigating the evolving digital media landscape shared their insights at industry events, using real-world case studies to illustrate their views, including covering SCMP’s own transformation as a content powerhouse positioned at the intersection of information and technology.
Mi Li, SCMP’s head of global marketing, spoke at the Digital Marketing & Strategy Innovation Summit, while Korey Lee, SCMP’s director of data analytics and insights, presented at the Big Data & Analytics Innovation Summit at The Mira Hong Kong on April 18 and 19.
Both speakers explored the market dynamics of shifting audience priorities and preferences, including consumer behavioural trends, and how to leverage opportunities amid industry disruptions from a variety of emerging applications and media formats.
Mi also talked about four crucial stages of transformation the SCMP is undergoing (identity, organisational, digital and market changes), and Korey shared his thoughts on revamping SCMP’s data operations that affect user intelligence, product and content development, news distribution and reader engagement.
