Special office tour for HK2A to introduce the new SCMP
On June 29, 2018, SCMP hosted delegates from The Hong Kong Advertisers Association (HK2A) interested in learning more from SCMP CEO Gary Liu about the Asian voice in the global market and SCMP’s transformation from a 115-year-old Hong Kong newspaper to a digitally-minded global media company. Over 80 advertisers and agency representatives from retail, hotel, banking, education, property and other industries joined the “SCMP’s Transformation Journey”.
SCMP COO Elsie Cheung shared insights into SCMP’s transformed corporate culture and streamlined organisation structure, capturing markets outside Hong Kong with new products including China tech-focused Abacus, China-news oriented Inkstone and social video platform Goldthread. CEO Gary Liu also share his views about why SCMP is in the right position to lead the conversation about China.
