Macau: The original melting pot

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) entrusted SCMP to produce a digital content series that would fuel excitement about the variety of activities that Macau’s cultural and dining scenes had on offer in 2023 and 2024. The six-episode series, comprising three video-led articles and three written articles, also positioned the city as a safe and fun tourist destination that appeals to younger audiences.

The episodes were published on both SCMP.com and Goldthread, SCMP’s sister platform dedicated to covering cultural news about China and made for Gen Z consumption worldwide. The content produced for this campaign highlights the uniqueness of Macanese culture, ethnicity, cuisine and identity, establishing what makes them so vibrant and innovative.
