Bart oversees Marriott International’s Luxury Group in Greater China, which includes more than 70 hotels and resorts across eight luxury brands. Bart leads the luxury business team, spearheading financial growth, operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences while fostering employee engagement and maximising owner returns. He also oversees luxury brand management, marketing, and communications, ensuring a cohesive and impactful strategy across the Luxury Group.

Over the past 24 years, Bart has held leadership roles across Marriott International’s Asia-Pacific and corporate offices. From 2020 to 2023, as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific, he steered the region’s consumer strategy, driving sales, revenue, marketing, loyalty, digital engagement, and customer experience, contributing over USD $13 billion in Rooms and F&B revenue. He began his career with Marriott in India as the opening Food & Beverage Director of the JW Marriott Mumbai. Bart moved to the United States in 2008 to serve as the Corporate Vice President, Food & Beverage for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and returned to Asia in 2010 as Vice-President Operations to establish the Asia-Pacific operations division, which includes rooms, F&B, culinary, engineering, spa, IT, and procurement. He was appointed Chief Operations Officer in early 2016.

He is a strong advocate for designing localised, authentic experiences that elevate brand storytelling and create deeply meaningful connections between the brand and the guest. Under his guidance, teams consistently achieve top associate engagement scores, fostering a collaborative, learning-driven organisation aligned with the Luxury Group’s emphasis on nurturing talent and delivering exceptional service.
